My Story
Deborah O'Driscoll – Founder and Director, Clarido Communications
I began my career as a journalist, working in local and national newspapers, radio and television — including 20 years at the BBC.
As a television news producer, I led teams delivering live programmes and breaking news. I was often the “voice in the ear” guiding presenters and reporters as they broadcast major national and international stories.
After moving into communications with the NHS and the non-profit sector, I saw that many organisations had important stories to tell, but didn’t always have the support they needed to communicate them effectively.
That’s why I founded Clarido Communications.
Today I work with a team of associates who are all former journalists. We help organisations deliver strong soundbites, handle broadcast interviews with confidence, develop clear communication strategies, and build the skills they need to manage social media — including creating powerful videos using just a smartphone.
I’m passionate about helping organisations cut through the noise, share stories that truly resonate, and connect audiences with the issues that matter.
